TODL Celebrates 11 Years!
2008-09-29 05:00:00 -0700 September 29, 2008 marks 11 years for the Trade Only Design Library, Inc—known by more than 43,000 specifiers as TODL or todl.com. It has really been a nice steady upward growth, applying Good Practices in the operations of the company and continuing to create the highest quality of service and performance as a design resource for the industry, states VP Marketing, Christine Cunningham. In 1997, the company launched in Stacey Tiveron’s (CEO & Founder) living room with 2 other people, but as the demand for TODL grew in the industry, so grew the staff. Stacey soon moved into a small office space with a few rooms and continued to grow her company. Now we are in a spacious, beautifully designed working environment that facilitates 31 staff. There are 8 Divisions that include numerous departments, the largest being the Product Listing Department. Our newest division is TODL Green, overseen by Kim Gordon, TODL Green Director, who was instrumental in the development of TODL Green. Today, TODL’s model now more than ever, is perfectly aligned with the design industry in ways that represent the significant changes of how design professionals get the job done, how technology is now a standard tool in every office, for every project. We are no longer only educating and assisting the process, but now challenged with keeping up and more importantly staying ahead enough to keep it interesting, constantly adding new manufacturers, making new industry partnerships and most important the site itself. Currently 120 to 150 new design specifiers register weekly to become TODL members and get access to the online library. More than 400 projects are specified weekly. TODL is a very busy site and the expansion to a world market reflects in the high-end and varied types of projects we now see on the site. As we enter into this next year, we also have to grasp the economical climate and make the appropriate adjustments that will assure continued success by adding more features and services that will give the manufacturers and specifiers every opportunity to work together easily and efficiently. As budgets adjust and operating systems change, it is our conviction that TODL will be even more valued as a serious and necessary design tool in the industry. The first phase launch of GenV earlier in the month is just the beginning to the next level of site performance. Over the next couple of months the additional launches of features and services on the site will bring it to the most comprehensive- high performance product resource to date in the industry. |
